
Some dental emergencies can be prevented by early detection and treatment of
dental diseases. When a dental crisis does strike, you can try one of the following options to get
help. Choose the best option for you, depending on the severity of your ailment:

Business hours: Call our office. We will
do our very best to get you in immediately for treatment.

Go to the nearest emergency care center.

After business hours and weekends: Call our office. Our phone line
will give you the opportunity to dial an extension to reach one of our dentists in the case of an
emergency.

After business hours and weekends: Request an
appointment online for the first available slot the following business
day.
Soreness or discomfort within or around a tooth usually indicates
inflammation and infection. Toothaches caused by decay will not go away on their own. If you are in
pain, it is definitely time to seek dental treatment.
In the following instances, you should come to our office or get to an emergency room as soon as possible.
Here are some tips for care before you reach help:

Knocked out tooth
Brush off debris and keep the tooth moist (in milk if available). Bring it with you to the
dentist.

Lost filling or crown
Do not try to put it back in. Cover affected tooth with another material (vaseline, denture
adhesive, etc.). Bring the lost material with you to the dentist.

Broken tooth
If you've lost the piece, it is okay. Just go to the dentist. If you have it, brush off
debris and bring it with you to the dentist.
