Dental implants are the answer for anyone who is missing a tooth, several teeth, or all of
their teeth. No other procedure can give you a more natural look or anchor crowns more
securely. A Center For Dental Health uses the innovative ANKYLOS system to bring our patients
ideal function combined with beautiful aesthetics.
Low self
esteem is often associated with missing teeth and slipping dentures. With dental implant technology, Dr.
Loftus and Dr. Arnall can replace your missing teeth and your confidence! Function is an important factor,
too. ANKYLOS implants are as strong or stronger than natural teeth, enabling you to chew your food
normally and without pain.

Implants can be used to replace a
single tooth at a time (as shown to the left). They can also be used to create a base to secure a set
of dentures (as shown below).
How It Works
A dental
implant is made
of a small biocompatible titanium post that is embedded into your jaw bone. Over a typical healing period of
several months, your bone fuses to the artificial root of the implant. This creates a very secure base to
support single crowns, bridges, or dentures. The next
phase includes impressions of your implant, soft tissue contouring, custom creation of
the crown, bridge, or denture, and attachment to the implant.
Dental implants allow the doctors to replace teeth without putting pressure on the gums,
eliminating pain associated with traditional dentures. Also, the roof of the mouth is exposed so all
subtle tastes and textures of food and drink can be experienced. Dental implants do not require the
dentist to grind down adjacent teeth as with conventional crowns and bridges, so your existing teeth are not
affected.
Caring for dental implants is the same as caring for natural teeth. Simply follow oral hygiene basics;
brushing, flossing and regular dental check-ups.
