trouble eating, and I could not get numb. I wasn't convinced
that the sedation would cause the extractions to be painless
and that I would have no memory of time in the dental chair.
The experience of all the extractions convinced me that any
potential dental work involving a long and painful
appointment would be done with IV sedation. The staff was
patient and attentive, answering any questions made me feel
confident about any procedures."

" Fear was

Loftus I feared the dentist, I have a bad gag reflex and the
only reason I went was because I had a bad tooth. The reason
I went to Dr Loftus was it said in his ad - sedation /
anxiety free. It really does work. The staff was very very
nice and not condescending. I had not gone to a dentist for
so long ( 10 years) , I was scared they would put me down as
other dentists had. Dr Loftus and his staff were great!
Being put out was wonderful. Not having to hear the drill,
Novocain not working or holding my mouth open for hours was
unbelievable. Not only did I not feel anything, the after
pain was minimal. I still do not like going to the dentist,
but knowing that there will be hardly any pain, I can at
least now go to the dentist more than every 10 years. "

My self esteem was at a all time low. I began feeling
physical effects ( such as nausea and pain). Almost my
entire top row of teeth was either missing or rotting. My
one issue was fear of dental work. I was terrified. I was
trying to put off my appointment. I made an appointment and
went in for surgery. I do not remember anything. My husband
was in with me and said I was conscious, talked and
responded to the team working on me. He said they took great
care of me. Next thing I know I'm conscious and not having a
clue it has been completed. I had minimal pain after - this
has been the best thing I've ever done. I am so happy - my
self esteem has shot thru the roof. Please, please - don't
let fear make you put off your dental care. Dr Loftus and
his team changed my whole life! "
